I'll leve here some QOL tips too:

  1. If you have a time set in settings to dim the screen then it will show screensaver/turn off the screen in the middle of your gameplay. A good tweak is to open a terminal window and type caffeinate -d, it will make your make stay awake until you close/quit the terminal.
  2. I had some issues with audio on my side and following these steps fixed them:
1. Close game, sound devices (probably) won't update while the game is open.
2. Open Audio MIDI Setup.app.
3. Add a new aggregate device.
4. In the "Use" column, select both the device you want to output sound to and some other device, such as the built in speakers that support the sample rate your program is outputting. If you don't know the sample rate, 96kHz is a good guess.
5. Set the clock source to the device that supports the game's sample rate.
6. Select the appropriate sample rate from the sample rate drop down.
7. Drift correction should automatically enable for your actual output device
8. Click on the "Configure Speakers..." button.
9. Set the configuration at the top to stereo.
10. Set the "Stream and Channel" values to the left and right channels of the device you want to output sound.
11. Make sure each channel is going to the correct side with the Test buttons.
12. Set the audio output in your game and or in the sound settings (set output device in mac settings before opening game).
